hi everyone,

i am back again for all the wrong reasons [Frown]
just brokeup with an older woman. We were together for more than a year and i have felt that even though the lgbt community is very out in the higher strata of community, my middle class parents will not understand my orientation and choice of i explained it to her saying i will never be so open as she wants it to be. She accused me of being selfish of several occasions of our relationship(my lack of ability to come out to my family and friends has caused that )

i have decided to study further in the USA, but right now i feel down in the dumps.Just awful is what my heart feels like. i have tried cheering myself up, my lack of friends who understand my situation is further frustating.

i feel like i am dying inside [Frown] (with this emotions being bottled up, i just need a little hey!its gonna be ok ,from someone other than myself )

PS: i just got a text from my ex who says i should call her soon because she does'nt know when she will become somebody else's and i should make use of the time left.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;

Hey there, loneranger. Sorry to hear you're hurting right now.

Have you seen this new piece yet?

It sounds like your ex is being pretty manipulative per that text. I'd personally advise ignoring it. It also sounds like whatever the age difference here was, this person wasn't able, perhaps -- or maybe just unwilling -- to recognize that you're in a stage of your life right now where coming out to family and friends feels like something you can't handle, which is pretty common with younger people. At the same time, it sounds like whatever her age is, she's lacking some maturity to recognize the two of you obviously aren't in the same place.
