Hi guys! I have a date with my boyfriend, and I am on my period. How do I let him know so he wont go there, without embarrassing myself? I'm so shy and scared to tell him!

Hi Eve [Smile] ,

It's important to be able to trust and talk honestly with your boyfriend, especially if you're having any kind of sex. I'm sure he would be aware that all women get periods sometimes. You could tell him that you feel a bit embarrassed but you're having your period at the moment so would rather not have sex.

What are you scared might happen? Do you feel comfortable with him otherwise?

Thanks! We don't have sex, but he often fingers me. I told him straightup, and he was totally sweet and understanding. Thanks for giving me the courage to do so! [Smile]
