I dated this guy for about 6 months. 3 months out of the 6, I felt like we needed to break up. I was giving in to what my friends thought of him, he was "awkward", not good enough, I could do better, because he lied to me a few times, but not about anything serious. I forgave him for those things but used one of them as an excuse to break up with him. I now feel terrible about this. It's been 3 months since the break up and I think about him almost everyday. He told me he loved me (which is a huge mile stone for him) and I broke his heart. He no longer talks to me, and obviously avoids me. I don't know if it's guilt I feel or if I loved him and regret everything.

Is this an or? While you didn't talk at all about how you felt about him, rather than your friends, it could be neither or both.
Did you break up with him because YOU wanted to? IS this someone you felt YOU loved? When you think about him everyday, what are you thinking about?
