I've been with my boyfriend for almost a year now and I thought we were headed for a more intimate relationship, but when I said I'd like to be intimate with him, he got really nervous. He's been avoiding me like the plague now, and I'm pretty sure it was because of that suggestion I made. I've tried to bring it up to him twice, but he runs off and says he's busy. I think I rushed things and scared him off. I guess I thought he'd be ready because he's two and a half years older than me, and has been in more relationships than me. What should I do about it? It feels like an impossible quest to talk to him because he leaves before I can say more than "Hello"

Have you tried a less direct form of communication like email or im or even the phone? Perhaps a little distance will make it easier for him to talk this over with you.
