And I need a friend to talk to. I just want someone to express my feelings to. I miss him so much. And so does my kids. They need their daddy and I need my man. What should I do?

No one needs an abuser.

It really is that simple. No (biological) father is ALWAYS better than an abusive one. No "man" is better than an abusive one. Period.

But lots of people who have been abused or battered by partners or spouses find themselves still missing aspects of the person it is WAY better they stay clear of. That's normal. It's also why support groups and counseling are VERY helpful when you're coming out of an abusive situation. have you sought either of these things out?
