I recently had sex for the first time. It was a guy I was talking to on a dating website and we hit it off. He was really sweet to me and we said we loved each other.

I knew he had a sexual history and he knew I was a virgin. I traveled to meet him for a few days. On the first night I was there, he put his penis in me for just a short time to have me 'feel' what it was like. The next day after he was done with work one thing lead to another and we had sex we had sex again another day. Out of those 3 times he used a condom once and pulled out other 2 times.

When I got home... he stopped talking to me. I feel horrible since I waited so long and lost my virginity to a loser. I also should have insisted a condom be used EVERY time. Well what's done is done.

I guess I need to know what my next step is. I don't know if I am pregnant since I feel like I am getting my period. I feel very used.

I also feel like I can't stop pleasing myself and that I wish I could have sex again. This makes me feel bad too.

I know I made a mistake, but I thought he loved me...

Hi alwaysandalways,

I'm sorry to hear you feel so used and disappointed. That really is crappy that it didn't turn out the way you wanted it to.

In terms of your next steps, I'm not sure what exactly you're asking, but since you mentioned pregnancy--you'll want to take a pregnancy test if you don't get your period. Pregnancy tests are accurate when taken 14 or more days after a sexual encounter that could lead to pregnancy.

You'll also want to get yourself tested for STIs (sexually transmitted infections). Do you have a healthcare provider you can go see to take care of that? If not, we can help you find one if you'd like.

I hear you saying you feel like you need to move on emotionally. how doable do you feel like that is for you? Would you like to talk any of this through more with us?
