I want to have sex with a new guy, but don't want him to know it's my first time and am worried I'll bleed. Are there any other reasons why bleeding during sex might happen?

Hi starfish_08,

Yes, bleeding can happen during intercourse at any time, because of friction.

Can you talk a little, though, about why you don't want to share with this guy that this is your first time having intercourse? There's nothing shameful in that, and it is sound to be honest with someone that we're going to be engaging in sexual activities with.

Being able to talk about our experiences, and our needs, is a big part of being ready for a first-time, with sex or with anything else. [Smile]

How prepared do you feel for this experience in general? Here's a checklist that can help you in figuring that out:
