Last week, I lost my virginity to my boyfriend. It wasn't hard thrusting or anything like that; it was very gentle. I wasn't even sore afterwards or bled. We had sex two more times yesterday, both which were longer and more rough than I've ever had before. Afterwards, I noticed some dull pain in my ovaries and lower back.It went away a hour or so after the first round of sex, but it came back after we did it a second time. It still even kind of hurts this morning. Every time we have genital contact, we always use a condom, and he always pulls out before he comes. We've never noticed a condom tear or malfunction at all. What is this pain?

Well, while I can't tell you for sure what you're experiencing, what I suspect it likely is is just your body reacting to the impact of sex. Think of it this way: When you exercise vigorously, your muscles can be a little sore afterwards.

It's the same with vigorous sexual activities. Our genitals are connected to the rest of the body, so other parts are going to be impacted by vigorous activity involving the genitals. Make sense?

Whatever you usually do for sore muscles should help with this as well.

I was thinking that, but Dr. Google had me thinking I was either pregnant or had ovarian cancer! I know I'm not ovulating or starting my period, so it has to be what you said. Thanks for your help [Smile]

Well, Dr. Google doesn't understand how pregnancy works, as the timing would be all wrong for that, and those aren't things associated with early pregnancy anyway. [Smile]

And yes, I think it's just muscle soreness.

...and, you're welcome.
