Hey ive noticed lately ive been having trouble focusing
Even when i masturbate
My mind wanders off and random and usually rediculous things enter my mind during masturbation
Is this normal? The thoughts are nothing scary or bad, they r just random things and sometimes its reminiscing about rediculous things ive done or me mentally working through complex science or math questions
They definitely distract what im doing
Is there any way to stop the distractions?

It is my hope that what i ask here is answered for me and anyone else afraid to ask the same question :)

Hi that strange CT child! This sounds like it's not so much an issue around sex/sexuality. So really, it's a little outside of our scope here. But when we find ourselves continuously being distracted from any activity, it's often about stress and having other concerns on our mind. Some people find that practising yoga or some other meditative activity really helps them to put their mind at ease and stop getting distracted. Other people also find that if they make a rigid schedule, and schedule good amounts of time to deal with whatever is stressing them out (setting strict study-periods, picking a specific time to go over a hard decision they have to make) and also periods to let go of those things and just relax and watch tv/listen to music/go for a walk/whatever calms you down can help them to manage their stress.

What do you think; does that sound like it could apply to you? Do you feel like there are other things going on in your life that could be stressing you out and making you distracted during other activities?
