Hiya! So, back in the good ol' days (like a year ago) I was turned on by the drop of a hat but had complicated bodily feelings and basically refused to masturbate. Recently though, I got over that - and just in time, my arousal TOTALLY DISAPPEARED. Now the only time I'm turned on is when I have to pee. I've heard of other people being turned on when they have a full bladder because of their bladder pushing on their clit - but I've never heard of anyone ONLY being turned on in this situation. It's really frustrating and it's prevented me from trying to masturbate since I'm quite certain I would pee if I did. What should I do?!?

HI Zin and welcome to Scarleteen,

When you say that you would get turned on at the drop of a hat, what do you mean? That is, what sorts of things turned you on? ...or was it more a matter of just feeling aroused frequently?

It's not uncommon for people's sex drives to fluctuate or change over time. Has anything else changed in your life? For example: How's your general health? Are you under a lot of stress right now? How much privacy do you have to masturbate/explore your body and sexuality?

I used to read erotica a ton, but I could just think about characters or people I liked and usually I'd get turned on. I still do that, but only really when I have to pee :c

Nothing else has really changed! My health is the same, stress levels are the same, and while I don't have much privacy, it's the same amount as I had before.

I thought, therefore I was.

Have you tried reading erotica again to see if it turns you on?
