We have one piece on this here you might find helpful: http://www.scarleteen.com/article/advice/sex_after_fgc

This matters, what's happened to you. And by all means, just like any body part where we've had a mutilation or injury, this may well impact your sexuality and sexual experience, especially since we are talking about a fairly major sexual organ for many people.

That said, the MOST major organ of the body when it comes to sex is actually not any part of our genitals, but our brains. The idea of sex as only or mostly genital is really an idea more based on how people choose to do sex than how people can do sex or have to: know what I mean?

How this will impact you is going to be individual, but we can certainly talk about your feelings and experiences now if you want to talk about that from the starting point you're at.

I also don't know if reconstructive surgery is something you want to talk about or consider, but that is an option for those who have had their external clitorises (the outside is only one part of the clitoris so you do still have a clitoris, just not the whole of one: we can talk about that if you want) excised.
