hi there,
my bestie asked me this question the other day and i was baffled.

will penetration alone during sexual intercourse (without pre/post ejaculation )result in pregnancy?
if yes, what's the degree of risk involved?

just seeking some clarifications.
thanks!

Vaginal intercourse, when unprotected, ALWAYS presents a pregnancy risk. This is because one can't always tell when pre-ejaculate is present, and because pre-ejaculate can contain sperm. The level of risk can vary, though- ie, it's certainly much higher should the male ejaculate. If you don't want to become pregnant, you do need to always use protection for all genital contact.

thanks Leabug for your prompt reply (: appreciated.

you've mentioned that "one can't ALWAYS tell when pre-ejaculate is present" and this actually conflicts with what her bf told her; that ejaculation can be controlled, well perhaps in his case.

how true is this?

It is true that males know when they are about to ejaculate, and to some extent also true that they can control, or delay this.

Leabug, however, was talking about pre-ejaculate. The release of pre-ejaculate can't be controlled and is not necessarily something that a guy will be aware of as it's happening.
