I have always masturbated by rubbing my clit agianst a pillow or something similar. lately I have tried fingering myself, it hurt, of course, but I couldn't seem to get a come at all. Does the clit always have to be stimulated in order to come or is there something I'm missing about fingering???

For one thing, fingering should not hurt. Were you relaxed and aroused when you tried to insert a finger? Did you lubricate it?

That said, we all respond differently to different stimulation and we all have our specific likes and dislikes. So it's entirely possible that clitoral stimulation is what works best for you. That doesn't mean that everything else will never work - just keep experimenting and do what feels good for you.
