I normally have my period on the 15th ish around there, so its late by 5 days. When does a period become officially late? No changes to diet. I recently had protected sex, but everything was fine as far as we know. Im not sure what is going on, and if there is something i should do?

If the sex was protected, no leaking condoms or missed birth control pills, you're OK there.

Periods, in general, don't stay regular. In fact, they are pretty unreliable for many teenage girls. So a late period every now and then isn't a big deal, even if they are normally regular. Hormone fluxes happen, so I wouldn't worry too much.

My best guess is it will come soon.

Your period is late. The best thing to do would be to take a home pregnancy test and go from there. There are a lot of other reasons why your period could be late that don't include pregnancy (like stress, changes in exercise or just normal cycle variation that most women have), but you definitely need to take a test to rule out pregnancy.

This is completely off topic, but I noticed that your login is cocainecowgirl. If you'd ever like information about the horrors of cocaine, please let me know. I am a physician and I have had more than one 22 year old come in having a heart attack or dissecting their aorta because of their cocaine use.
