Well today i was supposed to see the gyno coz he was gonna tell me how to start using the pill (Alesse). Anyways he had an emergency and when i got there he wanst on the clinic anymore. Thing is, my period started today and i havent even bought the pills!I saw on the net u should take it the first day or Sunday of ur period, but its too late now to start it the first day, and i dont want to take it on Sunday, without the consentment of my gyno (coz he still has to check some hormonal tests). Anyways, im gonna see him on Monday, but, is it gonna be too late to start the pill in this cycle?
ps: my period lasts 5 days.

No, taking it on the Monday should be fine.

Just know that if you're using the pill as birth control, you'll need to wait one FULL cycle (basically until you start your next pack of pills) to consider the pills fully effective against pregnancy. So a backup method should be used (condoms)at least until then (although, ideally, due to STI concerns, condoms should always be paired with hormonal birth control).

Also, the period you experience on the first round of pills may be a bit off because of this, but that can happen even if you had started on your first day or the Sunday.
