My wife got a throat infection (soar throat) that got bad enough that she eventually went to the doc. The doc prescribed a antibacterial and fungal med to cover both bases. She asked my wife if she preforms oral sex on me. I had never heard of this and since the doc is super conservative I was questioning it a bit.

My question is can oral sex cause a fungal infection of the throat? I never climax during this time...

That does not MEAN you cannot develop some sexually transmitted infections and transmit them. It just means that some are very unlikely.

But yes: if, for instance, you had a fungal, bacterial or yeast infection yourself, it can be transmitted via unprotected oral sex. Ejaculating has zippo to do with that.

Did you also get a checkup?

Depends on what her doctor said the infection actually WAS.

Antibiotics and an antifungal could be prescribed for any number of infections. Chances are if he didn't have an answer to that that YOU getting an exam may answer that question.
