Okay. So I have noticed that sex has become painful and I also noticed I have a "flap" of extra skin on the outer area of the right side of my vagina. It goes from the front all the way down. Is it hymen? Or something else? How to I fix it? What can I do?

The hymen, or corona, is often hard to suss out. But when it's there, or partially there -- and people who have begun menstruating and have flow will always have a partial hymen, not one that's fully intact -- it's just inside the vaginal opening. As it wears away, as it usually does gradually over a lifetime, it can take on may shapes, and sometimes that could mean parts of it might stick out. But it usually won't get in the way of anything, it's very, very thin, very flexible membrane.
That said, it sounds just as likely you're looking at your labia minora as at hymenal tissue.
