I took next choice one dose and 6 days later had very heavy bleeding for about 5 days. I had no cramps or anything and usually I have very bad cramps on my period. To try and predict my next period, should I count 28 days after the withdrawal bleeding from the pill? I know not all women bleed after taking the pill but I did. So should I count this as my period for the month?

Hi KTWU17!

Sometimes people after taking EC find that their periods change. Periods can come earlier, lighter, or heavier. This is a side effect that could last a couple of months.
