I had intercourse with my girlfriend Last Saturday. She has been on birth control for basically a year now. She just recently switched to Seasonale about 2 weeks ago. (she is perfect with taking her pills, not missing any)

She was taking Amoxicillin for gum pain, and her last dosage was last Saturday, the day we had intercourse.

We always use a condom.

As it's become a habit, I fill the condom up with water afterwards, just for an inspection, (again it's become a habit.)

However, I noticed a tiny pinhole in the condom, when I was squeezing the condom with the water inside it.

A few extra details: As soon as I felt I was ejaculating, I pulled out(with condom on, if anything while I started ejaculating I was in for a split second or two), after ejaculating, I did not take the condom off right away, as I laid down for a minute or two. After filling up the condom with water, I did play around with it, squishing and squeezing it. I can't remember seeing anything drip out pre-water checking

The tiny hole was maybe an inch and a half to two inches from the base of the condom. (not the tip)

Being an extremely anxiety ridden person, it has really started to get the best of me. Any input would be extremely appreciated, thanks so much.

Between reading things about Birth control and antibiotics, to pinhole questions about condom, my mind is in a ditch somewhere, and I'd love to just feel okay again!

This has been eating me alive, and I have searched everywhere for answers.

You know, condoms aren't actually designed to hold the volume you'd get when you fill them with water, but instead, to only hold the MUCH smaller volume ejaculate is.

So, my money is on the condom getting damaged WHEN you did that. I know you say it's a habit, but I'd suggest working on breaking it. Truly, we know and can tell when condoms rip or tear, filling them with water isn't needed and just isn't helpful.

But even if that's not enough for you, the awesomeness of using two methods is that if and when one fails or has issues, you have another. And you used two. So, in the off-chance -- and it's very unlikely -- your condom WAS damaged before or during intercourse, there's that highly effective pill as backup. [Smile] Yep, even with the antibiotic.
