so about 4 days ago, I accidentally washed my clitoris with soap. It sounds stupid, because you're not supposed to use soap on any part of your vulva. But I accidentally did. So for the past few days my clitoris has been itchy, red and a little swollen. It doesn't itch all the time, it's usually in the morning and it goes away after I shower. Yesterday it wasn't itchy at all but today I felt it being slightly itchy before I showered so I used some water and cleaned my clitoris. Now it's not so much as red anymore as it is swollen. I feel like it's gotten a bit better but it's the swelling that scares me.

I haven't has sexual intercourse yet, so I assume it's because of the soap. ):

It's actually the vagina -- inside the body, where one doesn't want to put soap. For most people, a mild, gentle soap is just fine to use on the vulva, the external genitals, though some people's skin is more sensitive than others, so some may have a reaction.

What I'm hearing is what sounds to me like either an allergic or sensitivity reaction to the soap, but more likely -- especially if you weren't using a harsh soap -- like some kind of infection people can develop without being sexually active at all, like yeast or bacterial infections.

Since you've been having itching and swelling for four days now, I'd lean more to a possible infection, and suggest you see a healthcare provider.
