About 5 weeks ago, my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex (not the first time we have had it). I had missed my birth control the day before and day we had sex. Last week, I had light brown spotting and three days ago I started having cramps, and my breasts are aching. I take birth control continuously so I don't get periods, nor have I ever had period symptoms while on my birth control. I've been on this birth control for a year now without any problems. Should I go ahead and take a pregnancy test? (If so, when?) Or does anyone think I'm in the clear?

It would be impossible for us, or anyone else, to tell you whether you are or aren't pregnant.
The only way you're going to get that answer is to take a pregnancy test.
pregnancy tests are known to be accurate when taken fourteen or more days after the sexual activity, so you could take one now and know that the result would be accurate.
