I took and ept pregnancy test and the control line showed up bright blue but the actual test line showed up as a very faint negative. There was no other line to indicate positive. What does this mean?

Hi there rldove,

None of us are versed in all the different kinds of pregnancy test there are out there, so it would be best to read the instructions that came with it. It did come with them, right?

Yes it said that it was still positive even if faint but it didn't say the same about negative

Just to clarify, the control line showed up distinctly, and a second line showed up faintly? I believe if it were negative, no second line would show at all.

One thing you can always do in situations like this is call the manufacturer: there should be contact information for them somewhere on the packaging, and they'll be able to give you a more definite answer.
