Last night I started a new pack of BC. I took one at my usual time and then forgot and woke up to take another. I have doubled my dose. Is this bad? Will I be less protected (pill less effective)? And should I continue to take my pills at my regular pill time and just pretend the double dosage didnt happen??

We actually had another thread with a similar question recently; I bet you'd find it helpful: Extra PillPosts: 382 | From: San Francisco | Registered: Jan 2013

Awesome thanks. so the extra pill will not decrease the bc's effectiveness for this pack. Is this still true if I took the second one 7 hours after the first? I ask because I thought there was a rule about a pill being missed if its 3 hours before or after its usual time. That would mean that if I take my pill normally tonight and just steal an extra pill from another pack I've got a late pill? I've doubled before but within the time frame I would have usually taken my pill.

The extra pill won't decrease effectiveness, no.
Instead of stealing a pill from another pack, you could just start your next pack a day early - so if you normally start a pack on Sunday, you could start Saturday and Saturday would be your new start date. Like it says in that other thread, too, I think if you're at all concerned it would make sense to call your pharmacist or doctor to see what they suggest.
