I just noticed that my pill for today and tomorrow were slightly open. The circular backing behind the pill was broken although it was still closed and the pill inside. I called my pharmacy and they said it should be fine, not affecting my pills protection, and that it was probably just because it was bent. They said not to doubledose and so long as the pill inside was the same pill and within the expiration date, its ok.

If it would be all right to have your opinion, a second opinion, on your take on this, it would be greatly appreciated?

With something like this i'd be more concerned about tampering than with effectiveness. However, if you know you bent the package, that would account for the damage. And since you got the package from the pharmacist (as opposed to off the shelf) tampering isn't a real possibility.

Your pharmacy is right. You should not double up.

I take reclimpsen and its a pretty weird package, it like swivels out of the plastic case and so one corner of the pills is pretty hard to get into and I remember a day where I had to bend pretty forcefully to get a pill out.

I spoke to the pharmacy I got my pills from (they werent open when I called the first pharmacist) and they said if I wanted, I should take another pill (one that wasnt compromised) in case this one was because I said I was worried about a condom slip on wednesday.

What do you think is the best route to take? They both said as long as the the pill was still inside the packet, it should be fine.

I wanted a tiebreaker between the two pharmacists opinion and so called a nurse at my obgyn who talked to my obgyn, who said that if my pill looked/felt fine as it should, since it was still in my pill packet, doubling up isn't needed and this isn't anything to worry about.

Thank you for your help [Smile]
