So I've had urinary tract infections in the past, but the last one that I had was back in either October or November, so it's definitely been a few months since I've felt the symptoms of a UTI.
However, over the past couple of days, I noticed that my urine has been a dark yellow color. I resolved to try to drink more water to fix this problem as of today.
I got my period yesterday, and it's been a rather heavy one. I went to the bathroom to urinate just now, and when I looked into the toilet, all of the liquid looked pinkish, and there were some little blood clots that are consistent with my period. When I wiped myself down, there was definitely a lot of blood that wiped away, but I couldn't tell if it was period blood or urinary blood.
Is there a way for me to tell for sure if I'm peeing blood or if this is just period blood?? Please help!!

When you wipe, if you do so carefully, and only dab your urinary opening first, you should be able to see if there's blood there or not.
Can you try that the next time you urinate, so we can best help you figure out what's going on here?
