Forgot to put my ring back in after sex and went about 4 hours with it out. My period just ended yesterday and so I just started the new ring yesterday too. Is there enough of a pregnancy risk to warrant Plan B? And if there is, do I wear the ring when taking Plan B?

Hi SnailShells! The ring can only be out for 3 hours maximum, and unfortunately it's most important to have it (or any hormonal birth control) on time right at the beginning of cycles. So your effectiveness rate for this is more around typical use effectiveness rate -- probably around 92%. Because the effectiveness is a bit compromised, I'd suggest using condoms or another backup method for the rest of this cycle.
You can take emergency contraception if you want to reduce your risk a bit here. If you do decide to use EC, you should use any method you may be on at the time as you would typically use it. So do leave your ring in as per the usual if you decide to take plan B.
