I started my period this morning and during most of the day I've been feeling really light headed and kind of out of it.

It would happen at work at like odd moments, I would feel light headed and almost tingly. I had to kind of refocus myself and then I was fine, but this has been happening on and off throughout the day.

I have just got home from work and have took some ibuprofen but now kind of have a headache and I have felt tired most of the day.

Could this just be from my period or something else?

It could be just from your period. Sometimes when people have that issue during menstruation it's about lost iron, which happens.

Have you eaten well today, including some iron-rich foods, like leafy greens?
