I have been on the birth control pill for nearly 2 months but yesterday morning i forgot to take it, i also had unprotected sex yesterday but my boyfriend didnt ejaculate inside me? is there a high risk i might be pregnant? what do i do? [Frown]

Hi PT24. Did you take your pill as soon as you realized you'd forgotten it? How soon after you were supposed to take it did you end up actually taking it? Are you taking Combined Oral Contraceptives (The Pill) or the Progesterone-Only Oral Contraceptives (Minipills)?

With the combined pill, missing one pill doesn't usually pose too much of a risk (unless it's the first pill in the cycle), it's after 2 missed pills that you have to consider your birth control compromised. However, it'd be a good idea to back up for at least a week with condoms if you just want to be sure (we advise always using 2 methods, anyway), and if you want some peace of mind you can take a pregnancy test in 2 weeks [Smile]
