I was just masturbating and I found a small bump to the left of my urethra. It is about the size of a pea and hard. I do not think this was there yesterday. What should I do?

Thanks so much!

Like any other part of our body, the skin on the vulva can be prone to pimples, ingrown hairs, and other blemishes.

Does this area hurt when you touch it?

Any change in the body should be checked out by a health care professional, but doesn't necessarily have to be seen as an emergency. If this doesn't go away or show signs of healing within the next day or two I'd definitely suggest having a health care provider look at it.

How does that sound?

That sounds good, but it does not hurt to touch it. It is kind of like it is just there.

Good to know it doesn't hurt. [Smile] As a friend of mine often says, pain is bad!

So yes, if it doesn't go away in a day or two definitely get it looked at. Until then, keep an eye on it but don't worry! [Smile]

Ok. This might sound really stupid or weird but I just took a look at the lump/bump again and it seems as it has gotten smaller. Could that be possible or am I making it up in my head?

If it's some kind of blemish, clogged sweat gland or something, sure that's possible. Just like it might happen on any other part of the body. [Smile]
