I take Cilest as my pill and take it for 21 days then have 7 days pill free in which I have my period/withdrawal bleed.
I started my new strip on Thursday and in approx 3 weeks my boyfriend and I are going away for the weekend. I would finish my strip on the Wednesday and my Withdrawal bleed doesn't normally start until the Sunday but I don't really want to risk it with us going away, so I heard that you can just start a new strip the next day (ie the Thursday for me).
Is it really that simple? And is there any more risk when not having a withdrawal bleed. And do you take the whole next strip so effectively I won't have another withdrawal bleed until I've finished 2 strips of tablets.

It is theoretically possible to take two packs of the pill back to back, and thus skip the withdrawal bleed in between. However, this is not recommended for everyone, and it does not always yield the desired results. Taking two packs back to back may result in spotting, or you may wind up having a withdrawal bleed anyway.
If you want to give it a try, though, I suggest that you start by calling your gynecologist to make sure that it's okay to do so.
