okay two weeks ago on the 19th i used ec when my boyfriend and i had sex and we used the.. "pull and pray" method. i was really angry with myself for agreeing to that "method" because i know how ineffective it is especially since im not on birth control. i was soooo parnoid. so the nxt day i went and got plan b. my period came on the 25 a full blown 6 day period. 16 days after my last one had started. urrrrg.

well this weekend we had sex, did everything correctly. condom, lube, the whole deal. and the condom broke. straight down the side. COMPLETELY broke. i know these things happen.. its a statistic, it happens. sooo on the 3rd, yesterday i took planb again. what else was i going to do?

i told my mom last week that im having sex. we made an appt to get birthcontrol in a few weeks. i dont want her to know i have taken plan b because i told her i have only been having sex for a few weeks. could the gyno tell i have taken it? what sorts of side effects should i expect from taking it again so soon. umm when should i expect my period? within a week again? i knoww this must be horrible for my body.. what kind of damage could i have done?

Taking EC twice within such a short time period doesn't do any long-term damage per se, it can just really mess with your as far as side effects are concerned. So you might feel nauseaus, or see some spotting, or have an irregular menstrual cycle. This is also why we can't really tell you when to expect your next period. It could come within a week, or you might not see it at all for a while.

About your gyno appointment: it's important that you are honest with your doctor. They would not be able to tell that you've taken EC, but they will ask you about how your menstrual cycle's been, and they'll also want to know whether you're sexually active. If you want to have the pill prescribed, they'll ask whether there's a chance you're pregnant. And for your doctor to make the best call per what birth control options you have, you really need to be honest with them. And just so you know - your mother does not have to come in with you for the exam, and the doctor is bound by law to keep everything you tell them confidential.
