Hi,

Since Monday, I've been experiencing burning and tingling sensations on (in? around?) my clitoris. I do have a history of YIs but I've always had vaginal itching, not weird clitoral sensations! No vaginal troubles at all this time. Wednesday I ventured to pull back the hood of the clitoris (which I've never even dreamed of doing before) and saw a little bit of white stuff underneath. I washed it away but my clit is still driving me crazy!! Burning and tingling all the time. My gyne said it looks like yeast, but she also mentioned she saw a bump on my clitoris. I am very, VERY freaked out.

1. Should I try putting Monistat in that area (like under the hood)

2. How long will the irritation here take to go away! OMG!!!!!

Certain white stuff is normal ... It's called smegma, and everyone gets it. No cause for concern there.

If your gyne said it looks like yeast, what did she suggest you do about it? If you're unsure that it's yeast, treating it may make it worse (if it's not yeast).

Not knowing what it is, it's too hard to say how long it'll hang around for.

If your gyne didn't give you any advice, you need to call her and clarify.
