Just a little context...

I'm 23 years old, and I guess you could say I have "irregular periods." My cycle varies in length from 19 days being the shortest, and 55 days being the longest just this year. I also skipped a period in April.

Anyway, my last period began on September 13, 2013 and lasted about six days as usual. I had protected sex (with a condom & withdrawal) since then, but have not had intercourse for about 5 weeks now.

I haven't had a period since September, and I'm really worried. I have taken 2 HPTs and they were both negative (most recently a few days ago). I have a doctor's appointment next week where hopefully I will get some answers. In the meantime, I'm worrying myself sick.

Can anyone shed some light onto what might be going on? Can I REALLY be pregnant?

I would appreciate any help,

I personally am much more concerned with the why of your periods being so erratic. I would say following that up with a doctor, as planned, is the best route here.
