Hi,
I'm trying to get a better understanding of how BC affects the Uterine Lining. I guess my question is: If you miss one pill or leave the Nuvaring out for 3+ hours, how is it a risk and why must you wait 7 days? Can you ovulate that fast? or Can the uterine lining even build up that fast for a fertilized egg to attatch? Does it take 7 days to get back to the correct levels of hormones? Or is this referring to the first two weeks of birth control. I'm just trying to grasp the concept. Thank you for all you do.

Hi niftythrifty,

These two articles (and the ones they link to) are a good place to start reading about the how hormonal BC affects your body:
Combined Oral Contraceptives (The Pill)
the Vaginal Ring (Nuvaring)
