Hi! On your "Whats the Risk?" article exPlaining what does and doesn't present risks of STIs and pregnancy, it states that manual and oral sex do not pose any risks of pregnancy. I was wondering if there were exceptions to this. And has there ever been someone that got pregnant from these actions while wearing clothes? Thanks!

Hi Kathryn,

If there were exceptions, we would have made those clear. [Smile]

In Scarleteen's fifteen years of work, plus all the research we've done to write our articles and other resources, we've never encountered someone who got pregnant in the ways you're asking about.

I'm wondering if it might help to go over how reproduction does work.

If so, here's an article that does just that.
