Ok this might be a little TMI but today I went to the bathroom and after pooping, I had a glob of this stretchy mucus like discharge. I mean it was a lot of it and it had a little bit of dark red blood in it. It has been about two weeks since my last period. What could this be? Is it just ovulation? I mean it covered the whole piece of toilet paper and was very very stretchy. I have never had this much and it kinda scares me. It only happened once today and now it is back to just a bit. Help please

Hi worriestoomuch,

Do you know where this discharge came from; that is, from your anus or your vagina? I ask because you mentioned pooping and I wasn't sure if you mentioned that for a reason.

I'd also like to check in with you; you've said that you have never had this much mucus before. What I'm wondering though is whether you think you might just be paying more attention now?

If this was from your vagina, I'm giving you a guide to vaginal discharges which you can use to help you figure out for yourself whether this discharge is okay or not.
