My girlfriend and I had dry sex 8 days after the onset of her periods. She had her panties and cotton leggings on and I was wearing boxer shorts. We were grinding against each other for around 1 minute or two. Afterwards, I noticed a few spots on my shorts due to pre-ejaculate. Her panties (and leggings too probably) were also damp due to her vaginal fluids. Is it possible that the sperms in the precum got through the clothing with the help of her fluids and made her pregnant? I hadn't masturbated before this incident, and urinated a couple of times too.

Now, I have read all the articles as indicated in this forum. I read 'Pregnancy Scared?' atleast once a day to reassure myself. Still, I'd be grateful if one of you answered this question for me.

If liquid from precum can seep through the clothing, can't the sperm travel along with it? I have read that semen is too viscous to travel through fabric easily, but precum is less viscous as compared to semen right? And the fact that there were spots on my underwear, means it DOES travel through cloth, although it's just a few drops, right? So could it have traveled through her leggings and panties with the help of her fluids and up her vagina with it's help again?

Call me stupid for my question, but this once I'd be glad to be called one for thinking up something so farfetched. I don't mean to irritate, but I am really scared, please do answer.

Hey there. [Smile]

I think it's really important with questions like this to remember that pregnancy is actually pretty complicated, and it involves way more than just sperm cells. And those sperm cells, even when we're only talking about them, need to get into someone's vulva. They just can't do that through clothing.

To boot, pre-ejaculate can contain trace amounts of sperm but a) it doesn't more often than it does, and b) those trace amounts are the very weakest sperm cells there are. AND they're without the amount of fluid a full ejaculation offers sperm cells, which is the way sperm cells can get anywhere. They're like fish: they can't swim outside of water.

The fact that there were spots on your underwear mean your underwear had contact with something wet: your penis, and your underwear are absorbent. That isn't any indication that fluid could go, or did go, anywhere else. Given the scant amount of fluid pre-ejaculate is, you can be really sure that would have been the end of the line for it.

Hi Heather,

Pardon me but what if I did ejaculate onto my underwear? Will the sperm cells have enough fluid to seep through? And how long do sperm cells live outside the body? (e.g. on my underwear after ejaculation.) Thanks.
