My period is usually quite heavy - especially on my 2nd, 3rd and 4th days - sometimes I have to change my pads 2/3 times a day.

This month though, my period started out brown, it was brown for 2 days maybe, then it turned red. My period was light that my pad isn't even full at the end of a day - I think it's my 5th day now and there's barely anything. I think it's more than spotting though because every time I wipe there is blood on the tissue.

Should I be worried? I mean, the most I have done is fingering maybe a month ago... and I don't think that causes pregnancy? Is that right? Is stress a factor? I haven't been sleeping much because of school.

I'm just super worried because my period is really light, I don't know what's happening.

Thank you!

Manual sex (fingering) isn't a pregnancy risk unless your partner's fingers are covered in fresh semen. Infection is the primary concern with manual sex.

Stress (and the changes in sleeping and eating patterns that often go with it) can absolutely impact your cycle, so it's very likely that's what's happening. You can take a pregnancy test if you like, but since you didn't have a risk and it sounds like your period showed up when expected, it would just be for peace of mind.
