So my mom has recently pasted away. I didn't have a real close relationship with her because of the fact she was an alcoholic. When I was about 10 or 11 she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. I didn't spend a lot of time with her and now I regret it. My dad has custody of me and we moved to New York shortly after they got a divorce because he met a girl and she is now my stepmom to be. I don't really like her that much and we don't really ever bond. The most we talk is when my niece is around. I never really feel "welcomed" into anything because whenever I try to talk to my dad she just tells me to go find something to do. And to top it off, my sisters who one is 12(step sister) and 14 (real sister) always are calling me names. I never feel like part of this family..... What do I do??

I'm so sorry about the loss fo your mother, Cutiepie. I'm also sorry you had to grow up with alcoholism in your family: I know how rough that can be.

On top of that, these new family owes sound pretty intense, too. Have you been able to voice these feelings to either your dad or his girlfriend?
