My questions is what the difference between manonena , ortho cyclen or ortho Tri-cyclen or the other names they use similar to those above. I'm a little confused and would like to know the difference or is it the same pill?.
Thank you this would really help me I was taking manonesa but the doctor changed it to ortho cycle, so I'm a lil worried.

Thank you again! [Smile]

Hi there cc_159,

All combination pills are made up of the same hormones, but they vary in dosage. I'm not sure exactly what the dosages for each brand you stated are, though.

Did your doctor give a reason as to why they switched you to Ortho-Cyclen?

I was not able to find a pill named Manonesa. In general, though, you'll want to ask your prescribing doctor or pharmacist these questions. Many brands of the pill also come as generic version with the same combination of hormones, but different names. It might be that that is what happened here - that you were given the generic version. But when in doubt, your doctor or pharmacist can help you out.

Alright, that clears it up: Mononessa and Ortho-Cyclen have the same ingredients.

But, again: next time you're not clear why you are given a specific drug, you just ask.
