Just wondering if the mirena is a good choice or not. I do want kids just not anytime soon cuz I'm just 16. Can your boyfriend feel it, can it move up during sex, can you become infertile, can you have foreplay like fingering? Also whens the best time to get it in and what are the side effects? I am a little scared to get it in but I think I can do it if its a good choice.

It sounds to me like you might not be understanding that IUDs are placed in the uterus (which a partner can't reach or feel during any kind of sex), not the vagina.

Here's two links -- one on your anatomy, and another with information on IUDs. Why don't you take a look at those, then you can pop back here with any leftover questions you have about IUDs? [Smile]

• Innies & Outies: The Vagina, Clitoris, Uterus and More
• Intrauterine Devices (IUD, IUC or IUS)

Well, before you can have an IUD inserted, you'll need to have a consult with your healthcare provider.

So, if you haven't already, know that you can ask any of these questions -- and more -- when you do that. It could be helpful to write down any you're left with now so when you do, you'll remember all you wanted to know first.
