HI mj44 and welcome to Scarleteen,
There is nothing wrong with watching BDSM pornography as long as you feel okay about it yourself. Lots of people enjoy things in fantasy that they wouldn't be interested in in the rest of life, or that they might even be turned off by. Each person's sexuality is really very complex, and that's okay.
Just to clear up what you said in your postscript, it's a myth that people are attracted to BDSM because of things that happened in their childhoods. Maybe that's true for some people, but that's not the majority of what happens. BDSM is just one part of sexuality, and previous abuse or violence doesn't make one any more predisposed to be attracted to or feel like they need BDSM than anything else. In terms of "normal" porn, I think you mean pornography that doesn't have BDSM in it, because that's all that porn is. There's nothing that makes BDSM porn any more or less than anything else. It would also be okay if you only enjoyed or were aroused by BDSM porn; after all, as I said above, what people enjoy in their fantasies says nothing about what they enjoy in the rest of life.
Does this help at all?
