I had a pregnancy done today at my college's health center, and I forgot to wipe with wipes beforehand. They took the sample and it came out negative, I'm wondering if not wiping will affect it? I assume not, since it's testing for a hormone. Also, I took it about ten minutes ago, midday- will that affect the results? Thank you!

IN future, know that when you have any test (including for pregnancy) done at a clinic or doctor's office, they'll give you instructions on what you need to do to take the test properly.

And no, using wipes isn't necessary for a pregnancy test.

Glad to hear you like the site. [Smile]

Hello! I just have a really quick follow up to this. Like I said, I took Plan B last month, had a pregnancy test that came out negative, and got my period nine days after the rist. But, I still haven't had my period for this month, even though it's my third day on placebo pills. Is this just an after-effect of Plan B, or should I be at all concerned? Thank you!

Plan B can throw things off for a couple of months after taking it, so not getting your withdrawal bleed (which is what a period is called when someone takes hormonal birth control) when you expect it isn't unusual.
