I am getting a prescription for the pill due to the fact that my periods are so irregular.
According to the pack you have to start on a Monday- I was planning on starting this next week Monday but my period is due for this week Friday and knowing it it may not even show up then. Is it necessary to wait until it comes or can I start on Monday regardless of whether it has come or not?

Ideally, you'll want to start on the first day of your period. That way, the body can get used to the hormones more easily and quickly. But you do not have to wait if you do not want to - you'll just want to be prepared for a higher risk of irregularity or side-effects if you start in the middle of a cycle.
