hi. So, I think there's something wrong with my clitoris...possibly a nerve injury? This happened about two years ago (yes, awhile) and after too much pressure was put on it I can't get aroused the way I used to. I can a little, but not enough to really want to have sex. I've had sex a few times since then but it's been really uncomfortable and I didn't feel physically up to it. I really want to know if there's any way this can be fixed or if there's anything I can do...because currently I can't really be in a physical relationship and I don't want that to be true forever! I really want to have sex, cognitively, but my body is not cooperating. By the way, I've mentioned this to two different GYN's, and while I was too embarrassed to really go into detail about the problem, they both just looked at me strangely and offered no help so I'm pretty discouraged.

HI starfish_08 and welcome to Scarleteen.

It sounds like this is a really frustrating situation for you. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get helpful responses from your doctors.

When you mention pressure and a possible nerve injury, are you referring to a specific incident?

When you talk about having sex, are you talking about intercourse? Or other kinds of sex? Could you say some more about sex being uncomfortable? For example: is it painful, or does it just not feel like anything?

I know that's a whole bunch of questions. Understanding more about what's going on with you will help us point you in the right direction for information and resources. [Smile]
