I'm wondering if it's possible to contract an STD in the following situation.
I have a new girlfriend and a couple years ago she said she had unprotected sex with the same guy multiple times. I was just wondering if, when we have any sort of sex, if there is a risk of contracting an STD from her. Basically, I was wondering if it's at all possible for her to have been carrying around an STD for 2 years and not even know it. That kind of thing.
Anytime you have the kinds of sex that can transmit STIs then you have the risk of getting one. So if you are having those kinds of sex with her, then yes, it is possible. Also it is extremely common to carry STIs and not know it, that is why they get transmitted so often. The only way to know if someone has an STI is to get tested.
Humans are allergic to change. They love to say, "We've always done it this way." I try to fight that. That's why I have a clock on my wall that runs counter-clockwise. - Grace Hopper Posts: 870 | From: Seattle | Registered: Apr 2009
