I just started back on my birth control and I just took the 28th pill today (Ortho try cyclen) and I'm supposed to start the placebo pills tomorrow. The thing is I think I started bleeding today, which I thought was strange. Is this normal? When I took my bc last year I didn't start bleeding until maybe the 4th or 5th placebo pill. Please shed some light. Thanks!

Not strange at all.

In the first few cycles of the pill, it can often be very anything-goes about when spotting or withdrawal bleeding will happen.

The fact that it's only happening as you're at the end of the active pills is already less random than this can be for plenty of people on a first pack of pills.
