I just noticed last night that I was feeling a slight burning sensation when I urinated and that my urine smelled a little foul. I had actually noticed a few days before that it smelled a little strange, but attributed it to the food that I ate. I'm pretty sure that I have a UTI, but was wondering how I could have gotten it....In the last week I've only had manual sex (fingering and handjobs)with my bf and he always washed his hands before and after he touched me. We also have our own lubricant bottles so as to avoid possible infections; still maybe because we didn't wash the bottles or the bottles were put together in a plastic bag, some residue might have gotten on mine? I'm going to go to the doctor tomorrow to have it checked out...I am annoyed at myself for not having paid closer attention to the symptoms and for not having been extra careful with the lubricant bottles...Thanks

Are you also urinating before and after sexual activities? If not, then that could be related. As well, sometimes we can develop UTIs for non-sexual reasons (like wiping the wrong way, etc.).
