Hi, all. This is embarrassing. I'm 21 years old and should definitely know better.

I recently went off the pill within the last month. Anyway, I ended up having sex with one of my friends last weekend. We used a condom for all direct genital contact. That being said, I have two questions.

1. We were dry humping before we had sex. I had a tiny thong on and he was wearing his boxers. He did not ejaculate, but I'm pretty sure there was pre-ejaculate. His boxers were cotton and he kept them on the whole time. My thong probably got moved to the side from the rubbing. Could I get pregnant?

2. How effective ARE condoms alone? It did not break or slip as far as I know. What is my risk?

Thank you for your help.

No, there is no pregnancy risk from the dry humping situation. Sperm cannot travel through clothing.

Condoms, with perfect use, are around 98% effective at preventing pregnancy. If you did not have a condom failure, you do not need to be concerned with pregnancy.
