ok so my friend had recently been having unprotected sex with her bf so they both decided it would be best for her to go on the pill. and they still were having it (knowing the pill hadn't been kicked in yet, knowing she hadn't been taking it long enough to have an effect.) and now her breast are swollen and very tender.
she thinks it could be from the pill but is very nervous cause a lot of people have been saying she might be prego and now its starting to scare her. she was asking me if i could find out what the chances are of it being from the pill or of being pregnant.?
she's not sure if it could be from the pill or not. ?

If she has not finished her first pack, then there is no guarantee if she was covered or not. Her symptoms are most likely from the pills and not a pregnancy at this early stage. Usually the first sign of a pregnancy is a skipped period or two. She can take a pregnancy test if it has been 10-14 days or more since the last risk event to know for certain. I would suggest that your friend and her boyfriend make sure they are current on their STI testing.

I'm glad this helped. Please invite your friend to become a member too! This way she may ask any questions she wants to at any time, as well as privately if needed.

i helped her make an account and she was very thankful for your advice but now we ran into some problems, she was expecting her period and it never came. so now i'm trying to calm get down and think of things it could be but i'm not really sure how to do that. so is it possible her period is late cause it has something to do with the pills ? like do you think the chance is higher to be pregnancy or just the pill ? were hoping its the pill but not even sure if that could be the reason ?

Sometimes the pill can change the timing of a period, especially when she just started this cycle. However, since your friend has had pregnancy risks from unprotected intercourse, I'd recommend she take a test as soon as possible. They're accurate about 14 days after a risk, or when a period is late.

She has also had substantial STI risks, so I recommend that she and her boyfriend get tested.

Hope this helps!
